Little Dish Bout Me

I've been around dogs all my life, growing up we always had 2 or 3 dogs around, usually a Miniature Poodle and a Terrier. My folks loved Airedales and the Miniature Poodle was a staple at our house. After the 3rd Airedale passed they down sized to Wire Fox Terriers. I don't remember a time there wasn't a dog to come home too until I married and moved away from home. I lasted about 3 months then Little Dog came into my/our lives. She was a Chow/Shep mix that we adored and she took care of us for 12 long years. After "dog dog" passed, (that is what my daughter Maizy called her when she was little and it stuck), I decided I wanted a purebred dog to groom and show. Hubby didn't care for the Airedales and we both thought we wanted another black dog since that was the color of "dog dog". I started to go to the local dog shows and I fell in love with the Giant Schnauzer. After we moved to AZ in 2001 we put a deposit down on a Giant Schnauzer, 3 months later Skansen's Anspritzen Splash "Spritzen" joined our little family of four and my grooming career began. I knew nothing of grooming other than bathing & brushing but I had a couple videos from our breeder, a new pair of Andis clippers and a pair of Roseline scissors. I went for it! The rest is history… I've been grooming for nearly 10 years now, left the accounting field in 2005, went to grooming school and started grooming for a living. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful it is to go to a job every day that I love, Love, LOVE!
